I feel that the people that were stranded in Vancouver because of the closing of U.S. airspace also got the same welcome and hospitality. The people in Gander on the east coast and in Vancouver on the west coast deserve a lot of thanks because both cities took at least 35 diverted flights and over 6,000 passengers (39 and 6,500 landed at Gander, 38 and 8,600 at YVR, which stands for Vancouver International Airport). The hospitality of the people in both Gander and in Vancouver tells us about how strangers are kind to others. I'm very proud of the people in both Gander, Newfoundland and of Vancouver, British Columbia for making people feel welcome. To the people of Gander and those in Vancouver, Thank you.
