I never knew how many planes were diverted that day. That thought of all the different people and aircraft trying to get into the U.S. wasn't on my mind, and I'm sure, not on the minds of many others within our borders. I just watched the Primetime airing, and I am touched by the people in Gander for what they did and how they responded. It tugged my heart strings and let me realize again just how many good, loving people there are on this earth. There are so few that cause so much hate, but when they do they reveal how much love and emotion that is in the rest of us. Thank you to all of our friends in Gander that dug deep into their souls and became a friend to each person that had to suffer what happened on that day in September. Your thoughfulness and love will always live within me for the way you treated each person, American or not, that had to be diverted to your land. God bless all of you and your wonderful hearts.
