Over the last year I have thought several times about our American holiday which was to start on Sept 11th in Las Vegas. For some time I felt sorry for myself that I had been stranded in Gander, scared and homesick! However, as the year went on I have reflected on how lucky I was in fact to be in Gander and nothing worse. I feel blessed to have seen a beautiful area that I would never have thought to visit and had my faith in mankind restored by the genuine kindness and love of the people of Gander. Thank you and we will be thinking of you today.
