The Gander Connection

Post Comments Stories and Photos Links Site Contents

This web site is dedicated to the memory of the many lives of individuals from all over the world lost in the terrorist attacks in the U.S. on September 11, 2001.

It also stands as a testament to the open hearts and generosity of the people of Gander Newfoundland Canada,  the surrounding towns, the Salvation Army, and the Red Cross who provided care for the thousands of Trans Atlantic airline passengers stranded in Gander.

Upon their departure from Gander the flight crew and passengers of Delta Flight 37 from London to Cincinnati were so moved by their hosts in the small town of Gambo that this site was conceived. It is a place for them to share their experiences in the hope that others might make the Connection. We invite all the passengers and crews of all the flights stranded and the many hosts who took care of us to tell their stories and experiences as well.

This site will constantly be "Under Construction". I would ask those people of the Gander Connection to have patience for the parts that might not work immediately, but I know I don't have to. They have already demonstrated an enormous amount of patience and consideration for their fellow passengers and flight crews. I am sure many of the stories here will show that.
